If you love the look of perfectly filled-in eyebrows without spending time applying makeup every day, Ombré Shading may be the ideal solution. At Adriana's Permanent Makeup, we create soft, shaded brows that provide a polished, elegant appearance while maintaining a natural look.
Serving clients in Wilmington since 2017, MA and now welcoming guests to our Salem, NH location, we specialize in customized permanent makeup designed to enhance your confidence and simplify your beauty routine.
Ombré Shading is an advanced permanent makeup technique that creates a soft, powdered effect throughout the eyebrows. Using a digital machine, pigment is gently implanted into the skin to achieve a beautifully shaded appearance similar to professionally applied brow makeup.
Unlike Microblading, which focuses on individual hair strokes, Ombré Shading delivers a fuller, more defined look with soft gradients and smooth color transitions.
Ombré Shading offers numerous advantages for clients seeking long-lasting eyebrow enhancement:
Ombré Shading suits most skin types, but not everyone. These are the conditions we check in the consultation, before any pigment is opened.

Each appointment begins with a detailed consultation and brow mapping process to create the ideal shape for your face.
The procedure typically includes:
Most Ombré Shading appointments take approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Healing is not a straight line: the colour looks darkest before it looks right. Knowing the order stops people from panicking in week one.
| When | What you see |
|---|---|
| Right after | Mild redness immediately after treatment |
| First few days | Darker color during the first several days |
| During healing | Light flaking or peeling |
| Following weeks | Gradual softening of the pigment |
| 4 to 6 weeks | Fully healed. This is the result you judge |
Aftercare decides how much pigment stays. The full routine is on the aftercare page.
Ombré Shading costs $550 at both the Wilmington, MA and Salem, NH studios. The consultation costs $50, and that $50 is credited toward your service if you book it.

Clients choose us because we offer:
We are committed to helping every client feel confident, beautiful, and ready to take on the day.
Most clients experience minimal discomfort thanks to topical numbing products used during the procedure.
Yes. Ombré Shading is often recommended for clients with oily skin because the shading technique tends to heal beautifully and retain pigment well.
Most sessions take approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Initial healing typically occurs within 1 to 2 weeks, while complete healing may take up to 8 weeks.
No. Brows will initially appear darker and gradually soften as they heal, resulting in a natural and balanced appearance.
Ombré Shading costs $550 at both studios, and that price already includes the 2nd session scheduled 6 to 8 weeks after the appointment. The consultation, the mapping and the topical numbing are part of it as well. A yearly touch-up is a separate visit about 12 months later. Every price is published on the price list.
Yes. Cherry offers 4 interest-free payments, or a longer plan of up to 24 months with interest. Checking your options takes about a minute and uses a soft credit check, so it does not affect your credit score. Cherry is an independent financing provider: it sets approval and rates, not the studio. See how the payment plan works.
The 2nd session exists for exactly that. It is scheduled 6 to 8 weeks after the first appointment, once the skin has healed, and it is included in the original price at no extra charge. Pigment settles differently on different skin, so the second pass is part of the procedure rather than a repair you pay for.
Most clients book a colour refresh every 12 to 24 months; how long the pigment itself lasts depends on the technique and your skin (each service page gives its own range). After that, a yearly touch-up refreshes the colour. That is a separate visit from the 2nd session, which is included in the original price and happens in the first weeks.
Yes. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, being under 18, and current isotretinoin use are refused at both studios, with no exception. Blood thinners, autoimmune conditions and a history of keloid scarring need clearance from your doctor first. The full list is published in the contraindications guide before you book, not after.

I have been contemplating getting my eyebrows done for so long. I was referred to Adriana by a family friend. I was seen at the wilmington location. Her shop is so clean and so cute. ★★★★★
Adriana is a true professional in every sense of the word. She doesn't just do her job because it's a job; she loves what she does, and that's reflected in the satisfaction she feels when she sees the finished product, making sure the client is happy with the result. Adriana asks several times if I like how my eyebrows turned out and if there's anything else she could improve. In all the years I've gone to her for appointments, she's always treated me with the same care and dedication to what she loves most. It's a really lovely environment, her team is very friendly, and it's easy to get to her. Thank you, Adriana, for making me feel beautiful.

Book NowSix things are worth verifying with any permanent makeup artist before you book: their licence number, who trained them, what the price includes, whether a price is published at all, what they refuse to do, and whether the technique actually suits your skin.
| What to check | What to ask any artist | The answer here |
|---|---|---|
| Practitioner licence | Ask for the licence number and check it yourself with the state or the town, instead of taking a badge on a website at face value. | New Hampshire Body Artist licence 4283, valid through 18 July 2028 and searchable at the state’s own public lookup. Town of Salem BODA-10 and BODE-4. Body Art Practitioner licence from the Town of Wilmington Board of Health. |
| Who trained them | Ask who certified the artist, and whether that credential can be checked with the body that issued it. | AAM Diamond Certified Trainer, the American Academy of Micropigmentation’s highest level of instructor recognition. |
| What the price includes | Ask whether the 2nd session is included or billed later. This is where quoted prices most often stop matching the final bill. | The 2nd session, 6 to 8 weeks after the appointment, is included in the price of every first-time procedure. The yearly touch-up is a separate visit about 12 months later. |
| Whether the price is published at all | The consultation costs $50, credited toward the service. A studio that will not name a range before seeing you is not comparable to one that will. | All 12 services are published with their prices, from $300 to $1,380, on the price list. |
| When they say no | Ask what would make them refuse to perform the procedure. An artist who never refuses is a warning sign. | Pregnancy, breastfeeding, under 18 and isotretinoin are refused at both studios with no exception. The full list is in the contraindications guide, published before you book rather than after. |
| Whether the technique fits you | Ask which technique suits your skin type, and what they would recommend if this one does not. | Powder shading is the technique that holds best on oily skin, where hair-stroke work tends to blur. This is settled at the consultation, in English, Portuguese or Spanish. |
